October 19 marked one of my favorite days of 2019 because it’s the day that Joy and Tim were MARRIED!!! From the moment the day began, Joy was teary-eyed and full of happiness to be marrying her best friend. Her emotions were SO telling of the immense love she has for Tim and for both of their families. But the emotions didn’t just stop with Joy. Tim’s eyes filling with happy tears as he turned around to see his beautiful bride at their first look at Chicago Botanic Garden may have been one of my favorite wedding day moments ever.

Their ceremony took place at Lakeview Church where they met. Joy and Tim lit their unity candle together and held hands as Tim said an emotional prayer for their marriage. It was a ceremony filled with love, and as these two said “I do”, it was finally time to get the party started! 

Joy and Tim’s reception at Meridian Banquets included some very special moments. First came an Honoring the Parents Ceremony in tribute to their cultures, and later a beautifully choreographed first dance that wowed their loved ones! And I can’t forget to mention the BEST part of the day… a spontaneous McDonald’s run! Yep you read that right. They worked up an appetite during their golden hour portraits and instead of rushing back to the reception, Joy and Tim were craving some fast food. So we waltzed into the McDonald’s next door, these two in their wedding getup, and the whole restaurant cheered them on. It was hilarious and memorable to say the least!! 

Joy and Tim, WOW I can’t say enough how much I loved documenting this day for you and your families. Your love brought ME happy tears and your trust and appreciation throughout the whole process meant the world. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Cheers to you!
