In the small coastal town of Holland Michigan, autumn is a magical time when vibrant colors spread across the state. That is what inspired this sophisticated wedding day planned by Abby McKinney Events. The color palate emulated falling leaves with emphasis on golds and corals, with pops of blue nodding to Lake Michigan.
An intimate ceremony took place in front of the idealic white chapel at Felt Mansion. The bride wore a perfectly pleated gown with drop sleeves and a romantic slit, which brought an air of sophisticated softness. The couple’s reception was filled with relaxed elegance in the waterside sailcloth tent. My favorite touch was the grand ‘tentrance’ exploding in flowers, designed by the ever-talented Roots Floral Design. There is something so special about sailcloth tented receptions, and photographing this one was a real treat!
