A big part of wedding photography is relationships - both between the couple, and the vendors too! That’s why I love to partner closely with your planner and designer to perfectly bring your vision to life. Wedding days are whirlwinds - beautiful ones of course - and I pride myself on my ability to handle the chaos and find the beauty in any scenario.

I will always strive not only for perfect images, but for a perfect experience as well. I serve my clients with a heart full of love and excitement, so that they feel they’re spending time with a dear friend, not just a photographer. Capturing treasured memories is a privilege I don't take lightly, and I'm SO excited that you are considering me for your best-day-ever!!

Rachael Kazmier Photography serves every couple regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, nationality, skin color, or religion. You are seen + loved. Your story matters.

In my eyes, weddings are the most beautiful things in the world. From dreamy veils to swoon-worthy bouquets to sparkly diamond rings, I just can't get enough! My goal is to perfectly capture each and every moment - both how they look, and how they feel. I achieve this by focusing on the authentic and candid moments.

My photography style can be described as light, joyful, and timeless.

Every love story is unique + personal, and it’s my passion to capture them as such!

my approach

01.

i'm planning a destination wedding, do you travel?

Absolutely!! I will happily hop in a car or on a plane to capture your love story! Recently I’ve been to Charleston, Hawaii, and even Paris for weddings! Contact me and let's chat all about your vision!

02.

what's your best tip for planning a stress-free wedding?

Hire a wedding planner! Their job is to bring your vision to life in an easy, enjoyable way. Planners offer advice and assistance, communicate with your vendors, share inspiration, and take responsibilities off your plate. Big or small, I believe every wedding needs a planner!

03.

how many photos will I get?

Every wedding is different, but I typically deliver 800+ images from each beautiful wedding day.

04.

how long will it take to get our photos back?

For portrait sessions my turnaround time is 4 weeks, and for weddings it is 8 weeks. I always edit a few sneak peeks right after your wedding, because let's be honest - no one likes to wait!!

05.

should I book an engagement session?

I highly recommend engagement sessions to all my couples! First off, you get some super cute and casual photos to capture your love. Second, it's a great opportunity for us to get to know each other before your wedding day! You'll get a taste of my posing style and we'll of course have tons of fun in the process… talk about a win-win!!

06.

What if we feel awkward in front of the camera?

It’s not just you, everyone feels this way at first! I’ll guide you through the whole session, offering prompts to help you relax and feel confident. My approach is to keep things light and fun. You don’t have to be a professional model or practice poses ahead of time - just be yourselves!

07.

is 8 hours enough time?

8 hour wedding days are my most popular package. This typically covers getting ready through the fun dance party at your reception! We’ll chat timeline details with your wedding planner, and we may suggest adding on more hours if needed.

09.

can you recommend other vendors that you love?

When you hire me, I’m an open book! I’m happy to provide all the knowledge of my favorite vendors in the area. I know planning a wedding can feel like a whirlwind, and my goal is to help make the experience as fun and easy as possible!

10.

have you shot at our venue before?

Perhaps! But if I haven’t, that’s super exciting!! I love photographing new places, it keeps me inspired! And don’t worry, I always spend plenty of time scouting out the location before your wedding!

11.

what kind of equipment do you use? Do you have insurance?

I’m a Canon girl and shoot weddings with the top-of-the-line EOS R6 Mirrorless. I always bring backups and have liability insurance. I’m happy to provide a certificate to your venue upon request!

12.

how far in advance should we book you?

Most of my couples book 8 to 12 months in advance. If you’re planning your day during peak wedding season, I recommend reaching out as soon as you have a date and venue chosen!

13.

how do I book?

To make things official, I require a signed contract and 50% retainer payment. Email me today or fill out my contact form and let's do this!
