Laura & Alex’s Armour House Wedding

It’s official… microweddings are my new favorite thing. They are intimate, meaningful, and can be just as beautiful as big weddings! Laura and Alex’s day was proof of that. They had originally planned on a 200+ person affair in Laura’s hometown, but with Covid risks they knew keeping their community safe was more important than hosting a big celebration. Laura and Alex decided to downsize, and the results were STUNNING.

These two tied the knot on the anniversary of the day they met in the presence of immediate family at the Armour House in Lake Forest. The manicured grounds and stunning architecture was the perfect setting for their nuptials. Since they’d originally planned for an April wedding, their wedding planner + designer Sara coordinated the most beautiful pastel color palate featuring creams, lilacs, and peaches that brought a whimsical spring feel to the day!

After their intimate ceremony, family clinked glasses of signature cocktails and enjoyed live string music over a candlelit dinner. Finally, they wrapped up the evening with a sparker send-off! I had the most wonderful time second shooting this gorgeous day for Lindsey Taylor Photography. See some of my favorites below!
